The University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Greater Chicago (UPAAGC), formerly known as the UP Club of America, is the official alumni chapter of the University of the Philippines serving the Greater Chicago area and Illinois, in coordination with other UPAA chapters nationwide. Since 1971, UPAAGC has brought together alumni and friends of UP—serving as a hub for connection, service, and community across generations.

Rooted in the ideals of the University of the Philippines—honor, excellence, leadership, and service—UPAAGC continues to foster meaningful engagement among its members while contributing to the broader Filipino-American community.

Our Organization

UPAAGC is a duly organized non-profit, non-stock corporation and operates as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code of the United States.

As a registered charitable organization:

• Contributions to UPAAGC may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law
• All funds are used to support our mission-driven programs and initiatives
• The organization is governed by its Board of Directors in accordance with its bylaws and applicable laws and regulations
